Who says I can't do BookTube tags blog style. Anyways, here's 25 bookish facts about myself.
1. When I was little, I took literally forever in the book store trying to decide what book I wanted to get. (To be honest, I still take a while but now it's more organized thanks to Goodreads and my TBR!) PS thanks Mom and Dad for funding my book addiction until I could afford to myself.
2. I prefer hardcovers to paperbacks because they're more sturdy but sometimes I go with the paperback just cuz they're cheaper!
3. I'm a really visual person, so I will only buy e-books or audiobooks of books that I think have ugly covers (I know... yikes). (For reference, I like simple covers, illustrated is cool, I hate pictures of people on the covers... no. Fake people can be fine but I find real people on covers to be cheesy.)
4. I'm actually not a fan of most classics. I just don't vibe with things that were written that long ago (like most of them were written) but if that's your thing, that's cool!
5. I've been to every BookCon ever held except the one in 2016, which was in Chicago (it also happened to be the weekend of my High School Graduation anyways).
6. I absolutely adore sprayed edges. Sprayed edges are when the edges of the pages are a color instead of white. My Harry Potter Slytherin edition, for example, has green sprayed edges.
7. Borders used to be like my favorite bookstore (RIP Borders!)
8. I've always loved reading but when we had to read The Hunger Games as required reading really introduced me to YA and started my obsession.
9. I need to physically own all my favorite books. I need them all pretty on my shelves and ready to be reread.
10. Going off of #9, I really don't lend out my books or borrow anyone else's. You could be extremely close to me... I need my book safe in it's spot on my shelf.
11. I have a lot of hyped books on my TBR that came out years ago that everyone is obsessed with but that I personally have no interest in reading... (What?? I didn't want to be left out! But... since I really don't wanna read them I should probably take them off my TBR).
12. I HATE mass market paperbacks. I'm sorry I do. For those of you who don't know what they are (trust me, it's for the best), they're basically the books you'll see a lot if you're checking out in the grocery store, they mostly come in adult novels, and they're weirdly sized, smaller than the standard size for a normal paperback.
13. I never listened to audiobooks until recently and now I use them because they actually help me to read more books I'm interested on my TBR instead of having to find time to physically pick up my copy of the book.
14. Someday I want to write my own book and be a published author (I'm waiting for a story idea to smack me in the face).
15. I love books set in England, Scotland, and Ireland! Also, they're the three places I want to visit more than anywhere else in the world.
16. I never leave my house without a book! To go... anywhere... You never know, people! Emergency book stashes are a thing and they're important, yup, I said it!
17. The only author I've really met is Cassandra Clare. She's one of my favorite authors of literally all time and if you ever get the chance to meet her, take it, because she's the absolute kindest human being (she's so funny too).
18. I hate when authors don't describe exactly what their characters look like... excuse me... I need to know what to visualize here people!!
19. I NEED them to start making book characters come in Pop Funkos!!! Booktubers and Bookstagrammers collect so many Pop Funkos! It'd be so good for their business and would make my bookshelf more aesthetically pleasing!!!
20. I want to travel to see cool book stores and locations where some of my favorite books take place. I think it'd be really fun to take all the pictures from these places and put them in a book.
21. I like fantasy but I have never been able to get into high fantasy (sorry Throne of Glass fans!)
22. Wanna know what to get me for my birthday? Um either Barnes and Nobles or Amazon gift cards... the gift of reading!!
23. I am the WORST at DNFing (Did Not Finish) Books! Even if I'm really not enjoying the book all that much I'll usually push myself through, but I do DNF series!!
24. One of my all time favorite series when I was younger was The Animal Ark series (ghost written by a bunch of different authors), it doesn't have to be read in order, but they're all super fun!!
25. I used to stay up wayyyyyyy past my bedtime reading my stories, often times under my covers, I've grown out of that though... I still stay up late but I read over my covers now. :)
~ Hope you enjoyed those 25 bookish facts about me! Feel free to tell me some of your own bookish facts in the comments!! ~

1. Books > movies. Movies are great for visualization, but books typically have better developed story lines ... no 2 hour limit!
2. My favorite classic is Jane Eyre ... thank you sophomore year of high school. While everyone read Kite Runner, I wanted to be different.
3. I love fantasy and supernatural books, but I’m always unfortunately going to be a hopeless romantic. Any young adult / coming of age with a love story is probably going to melt my heart. Ugh.
